Home / Resources and Publications / Academic Integrity Information

Academic integrity refers to acts of academic dishonesty in students’ work. This area is the responsibility of the instructors, though teaching assistants are instrumental in working with students to prevent and educate them on acceptable and unacceptable work.

*Please note: If you suspect your students of academic dishonesty (plagiarism, cheating, etc) you should bring the matter to your faculty member immediately. Do not address the situation with the student(s) yourself.

The following documents have been prepared by Carleton University’s Student Affairs office to help inform the teaching community about academic integrity,  its ramifications on students’ academic careers, and how to encourage responsible student behaviour.
